Louisiana's State Performance Plan (2005-2013)

Louisiana’s 2005-2013 State Performance Plan (SPP) addresses reporting requirements under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. The SPP, which was developed with broad stakeholder input, sets annual targets for improvement in 20 indicator areas that have been determined to directly influence successful student outcomes. Further, the plan describes activities to achieve targets, with annual reporting of the state’s progress beginning in February 2007.

Louisiana's Annual Performance Report

The U.S. Department of Education requires each state to submit an Annual Performance Report (APR) on the progress being made by students with disabilities on the 20 indicator areas listed in the State Performance Plan.   Louisiana’s annual reports can be accessed below.

Louisiana's State Improvement Plan

State Special Education Data Profile (Data Book)

The State Special Education Data Profile contains statistics about students with exceptionalities, their programs, Special Education personnel, and other student outcomes data.  It is designed as a reference book to assist in planning and evaluating educational efforts for students with exceptionalities in Louisiana.  This report also contains relevant information on infants and toddlers.

Performance Profile

As part of the annual reporting process, Louisiana disseminates information to the public about the performance of local education agencies on indicator areas 1-14 of the State Performance Plan, in addition to other outcome measures for students with disabilities.  These profiles provide statistics in areas such as placement statewide assessment certified personnel, disciplinary removals, and race/ethnicity for each LEA.
