8(g) Workshops and Events
Access flyers, registration forms, and information for workshops/meetings hosted by the 8(g) Office.
In September 2008, the BESE - 8(g) Office hosted fall workshops to help project administrators manage their 2008-2009 Block and Competitive Grants. The workshops were held in Baton Rouge, Alexandria, West Monroe and Shreveport. Discussion topics included reimbursement requests, budget revisions, project evaluations, and end of year reports. Any agency which is not a public education agency that may be interested in requesting 8(g) funds from BESE must complete a Pervasively Sectarian Status Questionnaire to determine its sectarian status and certify under oath that its responses are true and correct.
