The Update
The Louisiana Department of Education's Official Newsletter
Interest in public education issues seems to be at an all time high. That's a positive, as the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) seeks to engage educators, policy-makers, students, parents, businesses and others in our vision to create a world-class education system for every child in Louisiana.
With that in mind, we are pleased to introduce "The Update." This publication, produced by LDOE's Office of Public Affairs, will present the most current informaton on policy considerations and changes, statewide initiatives and LDOE programs. We'll also highlight best practices and successful models in districts and schools around the state and provide you with links to some of the most relevant news articles related to public education.
As each of us works in his/her respective role to advance public education in Louisiana, we recognize we are united in purpose. We value your participation and interest in this important work and hope that you find this new resource beneficial.
