About the new logo
Both versions of our new logo — the seal and the banner — feature our state bird, the pelican. It’s in flight as we strive to uplift the state of Louisiana through innovation in education. We wanted something welcoming. We wanted something bright. We wanted something distinctly Louisiana.

We asked educators, system leaders, and families across the state what was most important in a new LDOE website. We’re using this feedback to design a new website that makes the most important information and content easier to find.
