School Eligibility Requirements

To participate in the LA GATOR Scholarship Program as a school, you must:

  • Be a BESE-approved nonpublic school
  • Register through the Odyssey platform each year
  • Agree to all program attestations, including:
    • Accepting funds only for approved educational services
    • Complying with all safety, attendance, and discipline requirements
    • Participating in state-required assessments or approved national tests
    • Maintaining financial transparency and operational soundness
Schools that are not BESE-approved may still apply to participate as a service provider.

LSP Schools: Automatic Eligibility for 2025–2026

If your school participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program (LSP) during the 2024–2025 school year and remains in good standing:

  • You are automatically eligible to participate in LA GATOR for 2025–2026
  • No additional approval application is needed
  • You must still register and attest via the Odyssey platform

Beginning in 2026–2027, all schools must follow the standard LA GATOR annual application process.
