LEAP 360 is an optional, free, high-quality collection of assessments that provides information throughout the school year to help educators monitor student learning and address student needs as they proceed through the curriculum.
- Diagnostic assessments: determine student readiness for new course work and assist with teachers in setting meaningful and ambitious goals; given at the start of the school year or course
- Interim assessments: evaluate student learning and monitor progress toward year-end goals and allow teachers to target and adjust instruction; administered at checkpoints throughout the year
- EAGLE: provide high-quality questions that teachers can use as an instructional resource throughout the year
To support school systems with test reduction, the LDOE has led assessment audits, utilizing assessment inventory resources to help school systems evaluate the amount and quality of school system- and school-level assessments in order to be more strategic in their use of assessments.
