Recruitment and Retention Fellowship

The Recruitment and Retention Fellowship is designed for Human Resources Directors and leaders. It provides valuable support to address their challenges in recruiting and retaining an effective workforce in their school systems.
Students need high-quality educators and leaders to achieve successful outcomes. The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) believes that investing in developing human resources leaders is essential for driving improvements in all schools.

The Recruitment and Retention Fellowship is specifically designed for HR leaders and provides valuable support. It includes in-person and virtual meetings throughout the year, allowing Louisiana HR professionals to collaborate statewide. Participants will share the challenges they face and discuss innovative solutions together.

They will also engage with national consultants from the Urban Schools Human Capital Academy, who will provide insights and strategies from across the country on recruiting and retaining talented educators.

Throughout the year-long fellowship, each participant will further develop and implement best practices in recruitment, retention, data utilization, and support for principals. They will also design a project or strategy for their school system.
