Louisiana Career Coaching
ACT 413 (2026) now includes career coaches in the process of developing, updating, and maintaining Individual Graduation Plans (IGPs) for students in grades 8-12. Career coaches will be able to assist students in choosing their high school curriculum framework and related graduation requirements that best meet their postsecondary goals. Career coaches will also be able to provide support for the new career awareness requirements enacted by ACT 144 (2026). Career coaching will align classroom learning to real-world jobs available via a variety of pathways. Informing students of career and college options early will allow students to make the most informed decisions post-graduation.
