Ready Start Networks
Ready Start Networks (RSNs) were created by the Louisiana Department of Education and approved by the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to increase access to high-quality early childhood care and education at the local level. Ready Start Networks work with local partners to strengthen early care and education in their communities by:
● Assessing local demand for high-quality early care and education
● Developing strategic plans to increase quality and expand access
● Engaging community stakeholders to build awareness of the importance of early childhood education
● Establishing local advisory councils to guide collaborative decision-making and community initiatives
● Identifying local funding to support access to high-quality early learning opportunities
