The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps eligible Louisiana families pay for child care so parents and guardians can work, attend school, or participate in job training.

Families apply for CCAP, upload documents, report changes, and check application or case status through the Louisiana CAFÉ system.
You will be directed to CAFÉ to complete your CCAP application or manage your benefits.
CCAP is available to eligible families who need help paying for child care while they work, attend school, or participate in job training. Eligibility is based on your child’s age, your household income, and your work or school status.

The child needing care
receives disability income OR
has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) OR
a doctor's statement indicating special needs
works at least 20 hours a week OR
attends an accredited school or a training program as a full-time student OR
attends an accredited school or a training program at least 20 hours a week OR
attends a combination of work and school OR
is actively seeking work OR
participates in a transitional living program OR
is experiencing homelessness
