Qualifying for Child Care Assistance
The child needing care is a US citizen and resident of Louisiana or an eligible alien residing in the state of Louisiana.

Are you responsible for paying child care costs for a child under 13 or a child under 18 with a disability who lives with you?
The child needing care
receives disability income OR
has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) OR
a doctor's statement indicating special needs

Parents or legal guardians meet one of the following requirements
works at least 20 hours a week OR
attends an accredited school or a training program as a full-time student OR
attends an accredited school or a training program at least 20 hours a week OR
attends a combination of work and school OR
is actively seeking work OR
participates in a transitional living program OR
is experiencing homelessness

CCAP Waitlist Began October 1, 2022
With changes in rates & eligibility the number of families applying and eligible for CCAP exceeds funds now available to serve families. A waitlist has been established, so eligible families can access slots as soon as funding is available again.
