Louisiana School Safety Summit

Louisiana understands that school safety must be a way of life for educators. The Louisiana School Safety Summit brings together school system leaders, local and state law enforcement, governmental agencies, and mental health providers for an opportunity to share and learn best practices around keeping students and teachers safe.

Launched by the Louisiana Department (LDOE) in 2022, this annual professional learning conference is the first statewide event of its kind. The LDOE coordinates this annual event with the Louisiana State Police, Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Louisiana Center for Safe Schools.
