Louisiana’s premier professional learning event for educators takes place May 26–28 in New Orleans

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) announced today that LSU women’s basketball head coach Kim Mulkey will serve as keynote speaker for the Teacher Leader Summit 2026 Opening Session on May 26 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

A product of Hammond High School and Louisiana Tech University, Coach Mulkey is a championship-level leader who knows what it takes to build and sustain a culture of excellence. A native of Tickfaw, Louisiana, Mulkey’s career is defined by high expectations, relentless preparation, and developing people—principles that mirror the work educators do every day to help students grow.

Registration Details

Teacher Leader Summit 2026 will take place May 26-28. Regular registration is open now through April 12 (or until capacity is reached).

  • Rate: $299
  • Includes full access to sessions, an official TLS 2026 t-shirt, and lunch on May 26 and May 27
  • Once capacity is reached, additional registrants will be added to a waitlist
  • No onsite registration will be available
