What Is Charlie's Law?
Charlie’s Law sets child safety and welfare standards for all prekindergarten programs in Louisiana. It also establishes monitoring of nonpublic and public school prekindergarten programs and notes information that these programs must share with all parents and guardians.
As the agency charged with implementation, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) is committed to helping prekindergarten program leaders understand the law, meet deadlines, and stay informed.
