Louisiana Assessment Calendar

Use this calendar to see statewide assessments Louisiana public school students are required to take during the school year. The calendar includes testing windows, estimated testing time, and the law or policy that requires each assessment.

This calendar includes assessments required by federal law, state law, or rules of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), as well as optional assessments commonly administered. Please visit your school system's website to learn more about assessments required by local systems.

School System Assessment Calendar and Act 674 Support

Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, Act 674 (2026) requires each public school governing authority to post a direct hyperlink to the LDOE's statewide assessment schedule and a PDF copy of the schedule on its public website no later than August 1 of each year.

Act No. 674 also requires each public school governing authority to submit to the LDOE the information required to be posted as provided by Subparagraphs (d), (e), and (h) of Act No. 674 (2026), including an active link to where the schedule is posted on their website.

2026-2027 testing window: Beginning of year: first 30 days of school. Middle of year: December 1–31. End of year: April 1–30. Accommodations final: November 1 (beginning/middle of year) and March 2 (end of year).
